So you’ve found the perfect wedding dress, so now it’s about deciding what you’d like to accessorise with. Most brides choose to wear a veil but deciding which one can be tricky. There are so many different types of veils to choose from, so how do you know which one will look perfect with your wedding dress? Here is some tips and advice to think about when choosing the one that is perfect for you.
I would always recommend trying to buy your accessories from where you purchased your gown.
Most of my Brides always wonder if they should or shouldn’t wear the veil over their faces. I always explain it is personal preference. It is customary to wear a veil over your face for the walk down the aisle, if you are getting married in a church. In this case, a veil with two or more tiers is necessary so that the top tier can act as a blusher. If you are having a less formal wedding, then it is not necessary to wear a veil over your face. Most brides choose to wear single tier veils for less formal weddings where the veil is simply worn towards the back of the head.
Thinking about the look you’d like to create when choosing your veil and other head pieces. It usually comes down to how you picture yourself on the day as to what you ultimately choose.
It’s best to see the whole look together and check it matches. At my Boutique I recommend Brides bring their gowns if they have been purchased else wear to try the veils on.
