10 Things My Real Brides Want You To Know Before Finding Your Wedding Dress
1. Don’t worry if you don’t know what style of dress you want
So many brides arrive saying, “I have no idea what will suit me” or “I don’t even know where to start.” That’s completely normal.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before your appointment. You don’t need a Pinterest board full of ideas. I’ll guide you through different styles and help you discover the gown that makes you feel confident, beautiful and completely yourself.
2. Be open to trying something you wouldn’t normally choose
Many of my brides fall in love with a gown they never expected to choose. Sometimes the dress you imagine yourself wearing isn’t the one that makes you feel the most incredible when you see yourself in the mirror.
Trust the process, enjoy trying different styles and be open to being surprised.
3. Don’t bring too many opinions with you
Your wedding dress is one of the most personal choices you’ll make. My brides often say that bringing the people who know them best, rather than a large group, helped them stay focused on how they felt in the dress.
Choose the people who will support you, make you feel amazing and help you enjoy this special moment.
4. It’s completely normal to feel nervous before your appointment
So many brides tell me they were nervous before they arrived. Whether it’s body confidence, worrying you won’t find a dress, or simply not knowing what to expect, those nerves usually disappear very quickly.
My aim is for you to feel relaxed, comfortable and completely yourself from the moment you walk through the door.
5. You don’t have to visit lots of bridal shops
Many of my brides find their dream dress during their very first appointment with me. There’s a reason so many brides come through recommendations—they trust the experience and know they’ll be looked after.
Finding your dress isn’t about trying on hundreds of gowns; it’s about finding the one that makes you feel amazing.
6. Don’t feel you need to photograph every dress you try on
One of the best pieces of advice my brides share is to put the phone away and truly enjoy the experience.
It can be tempting to take photos of every gown, but often the pictures don’t capture how a dress actually feels, fits or moves—and looking back through lots of photos afterwards can sometimes leave you feeling more confused rather than more certain.
Trust the process, enjoy looking in the mirror and focus on how you feel in each gown.
Of course, if you find a gown you really love, take some beautiful photos to remember that special moment—but don’t let your appointment become a photoshoot. This is your time to relax and enjoy finding your wedding dress.
7. Take your time and enjoy the moment
Your bridal appointment is such a special memory that you only get to experience once.
Try not to rush it or worry about what you “should” be doing. Enjoy stepping into the gowns, seeing yourself as a bride and sharing that moment with the people you love.
8. The dress you choose should feel like you
The most beautiful brides aren’t the ones following every trend—they’re the ones who choose a gown that reflects their personality and makes them feel confident.
Whether your style is classic, romantic, modern or something completely unique, the perfect dress is the one that feels like you.
9. Trust your feelings when you find your dress
You might cry, you might smile, you might instantly know—or you might simply feel a calm confidence that this is the one.
Every bride’s reaction is different, and there is no right or wrong way to find your wedding dress. Trust yourself and how you feel in the gown.

I aren’t sure I can express in words how amazing my bridal dress experience turned out to be. More so than I’d ever dreamed. Zoe was more than accommodating after a slight mishap I made with the booking. However, Zoe fitted us in, with no problems, and not to ruin the special moments of bridal dress searching, made the day fun and just so perfect. Her opinion became very quickly vital and important to me, Zoe absolutely knew what would be best for me without telling me what I needed. The dresses carried at treasured brides are beautiful and a ‘must try’.
I met Zoe at a wedding fair and arranged a meeting to look at wedding dresses. My family and I had a fantastic morning. Zoe put us all at ease and made it a fun and relaxed experience. I was unsure of what style of dress would suit me but Zoe gave me lots of help and ideas. Very happy with my choice of dress. Also in discussion about chair covers and sashes and room decorations of which there are many to choose from ! Can’t praise the service I have so far received highly enough.
Had a fantastic time at treasured bides today. Zoe was so welcoming and made the whole experience relaxed. Tried on many beautiful dresses and purchased the one. Zoe has a method with trying on dresses and it works perfectly. Cannot wait to put the dress on again.
Also many bridesmaid dresses in various colours. Ended up purchasing the dream dress for my bridesmaid.

Zoe was amazing when initially looking for my wedding dress having already seen a potential ‘the one’. Zoe made the time with her fun for me and my friends, relaxed and very supportive, listening to what we all had to say. Zoe was even more of a gem when I went back with parents to show them the dress I had fallen in love with; this wasn’t easy for me at all, but Zoe had by back, and was super supportive in not only showcasing one of her dresses, but also the dress and me together.
Zoe has over the last few months of knowing her been a great deal of support and kept me up to date with the ordering of my dress re: arrival date and fittings, etc.

My first ever bridal dress shopping experience and it was fantastic especially as it was appointment only so you felt really special being the only bride there and having the full attention! I was listened to in what I liked and didn’t like and ended up loving two dresses!also there is so much room for customising and adding little extras to the dress you like! I would recommend anyone who is looking for their wedding dress to come here!
